The server certificate installed on some Smart Construction Edge units has expired.
As a result, you will need to update the Edge2 software as described below.

- Action required: Update the Edge2 app firmware to Version 12.5.1
- Result: The update will renew the certificate's expiration date

■ If the Update Is Not Performed
If you do not perform the update, you will no longer be able to connect to the Edge2 app.
In that case, you will need to restore access using the procedure below.
■ How to Restore Access After the Certificate Expires
Please follow the steps below.
(1) Turn on the Edge and wait until the Edge LED turns solid green.
(2) Connect your tablet to the Edge's Wi-Fi.
(3) If the app does not launch and the error message shown in the image below appears:
Note: If you cannot access the page, clear your Safari history and try again.
⇒ Go to "Settings" → "Safari" → "Clear History and Website Data," select "All History," turn on "Close All Tabs," and tap "Clear History." For details, refer to the article below.
Tap Safari and enter the URL "http://scedge.local" directly to access it.
→ The message "This Connection Is Not Private" will appear.
(4) When "This Connection Is Not Private" appears:
Step 1: Tap "Show Details" at the top of the error screen.
Step 2: An explanation will appear.
Step 3: Tap the link "visit this website."
Step 4: If a confirmation screen appears, tap "Visit Website."
Step 5: The site will open.
(5) Tap "Launch App" under Step 2 on the screen.
(6) An update screen will appear, just as in the app. While connected to the internet, tap "Update."
